SOLD OUT – New Mobility Data Standards and Tools for Managing Public Space

This workshop will prepare practitioners to utilize micromobility and ridehailing data in decisions around street design, curb management, and regulatory enforcement. National leaders will speak to such topics as open data concepts, data standards and specifications like the emerging Mobility Data Specification, and data applications in innovative mobility management projects. Participants will also gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge software tools for visualizing and leveraging mobility data.

SOLD OUT -Creating a Universal Transportation System that Includes Public Transit, Shared Mobility and Human Service Transportation

This workshop will provide an overview of mobility management and the opportunities to connect public transit, shared mobility, and human services transportation. Each of the panelists will give a brief presentation and then the workshop participants will break-out into groups to discuss what it means to have a universal transportation system that increases accessible mobility options while potentially reducing costs and improving efficiency.

Behind the Scenes of Chicago’s Union Station

Participants will get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of recent improvements and proposed infrastructure projects as part of the Union Station Master Plan–a collaborative effort between Amtrak, the Chicago Department of Transportation, Metra, and the Regional Transportation Authority.

Exploring Chicago’s Pedway System

In a one-and-a-half mile walking tour led by Chicago Architecture Center, docents introduce the history, design and unique surprises of the underground system.

Bike Tour-Downtown from a Divvy

Leaving from The Fairmont Hotel, this tour will explore downtown Chicago in a 6-mile lap through the “Loop”. SUMC will not provide helmets but does strongly recommend them and suggests you bring your own.
